As we age, our skin looses elasticity, fat and collagen. This contributes to the development of fine lines and wrinkles. Repetitive movements of certain facial muscles also contributes to the development of deeper appearing lines and wrinkes. If you experience fine lines, creases, or wrinkles on your nose, chin, cheeks, or forehead, Glóa Med Aesthetics Skin specializes in neuromodulator treatments. The primary purpose of neuromodulator is to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles by limiting the movement of the muscle injected. Common areas for injection of neurotoxin in the upper face are the glabella (eleven lines), frontalis (forehead), and orbicularis oculi (crow's feet), and frown lines. Neurotoxin treatments are injected into the muscles in the aected areas to reduce wrinkles and lines, tighten the skin and bring back your natural youthful glow.

Microneedling involves using a piece of equipment, at Glóa we use the E Pen, that makes multiple punctures in the skin. These punctures stimulate the body's healing process, which increases the skins elastin and collagen production. This helps reduce the appearance of acne scars. Hyaluronic Acid or PRP can be used to help improve the appearance of acne scars or discoloration. Multiple treatments are generally required to see maximal benefit.

- Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP)
Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) can be used for hair restoration. PRP stimulates hair growth, can increase hair thickness and protects from premature shedding of hair follicles. This can be attributed to the increased amount of growth factors and blood flow into the area post injection. It works to stimulate hair follicles to encourage hair growth through stimulating hair growth through increasing number of cells and blood flow to affected area.

Sclerotherapy is a treatment option for some spider and varicose veins in the legs. Sclerotherapy is done by injecting a chemical into the spider or varicose vein, which irritates the wall of the vein. Multiple treatments are usually needed to treat aected areas.
